Angry Grinding noise

I have a 2002 2.2L Z22 standard transmission. Ever since i bought the car it has made a light grinding noise from the front end. My clutch is more than likely just fine. I slid under the car and didnt see anything loose. It only makes the noise in first and second gear, between 1000 and 2000 RPM'S, and goes away when the clutch is pushed in, as well as the sound not being present while idling. the only thing i found was a loose part on the air conditing unit. but i really dont think that that is the problem. My buddy and i are going crazy trying to diagnose the problem. any ideas???

Re: Grinding noise

Change your fluid, and I bet it goes away.
