attempting head gasket replacement
I am attempting to replace the head gasket on my mothers 99 silhouette w/3.4L v6 engine. So far things are going well except the passenger side engine strut I cant seem to remove the brace that is bolted to the block and head. As far as I can tell there are only two bolts that hold this on and both have been removed but this damn thing will not move even a little. Is there something i'm missing or do I need to eat more wheaties?

Re: attempting head gasket replacement
Hi, there are 3 bolts that hold the bracket to the engine. 2 are through bolts that hold the A/C compressor on and the third is on the bracket itself. Make sure you pull all three A/c Compressor bolts all the way out or you will be banging your head against the wall all day, been there, done that...

So, how's that job going? Done a few of these myself; let us hear how you are making out with it.
