Wait 'til I get a hold of the bastards....

Last night, some scumbag broke into my Dad's I-30. The alarm didn't go off. It was the sunroof that got broken into. I was told the I-30 sunroof is different from the Maxima's. I still can't figure out why the alarm didn't go off. Any help would be greatly appreciated. By the way, I'm staying up all night with a freaking baseball bat in my hands by trhe door. I hope the bastards come back.:twoguns: :twoguns: :machinegu :machinegu :aug2: :aug2: :badass: :badass: :eshooter: :rocket: :flamer:

I truly think they were trying to steal the car. The sunroof would have been the easiest way, especially if it turns out the alarm doesn't work on the sunroof. Give me some info on your sunroofs and their alarms. Meanwhile, I'll be bastard-hunting.:machinegu :machinegu

there isn't any alarm sensor or anything on the sunroof, it's not like it uses radar. i doubt that even our maxima's have anything that protects at the sunroof. in fact, unless the windows themselves have vibration sensors, they are alos unprotected. most factory alarms don't have radar sensors i don't think, so mostly the only way to set off the alarm is to actually open a door with the alarm armed or bump into the car really hard like.

Did the people that broke in still anything or damage the interior? That would piss me off if anyone did something like that to my car.

Nope. We're thinking they pussied out because the dogs next door to my house were barking their asses off.

Thanks for the info about the sunroof. The only thing I could see shielding the blow was the panel that shuts between the glass. Nothing was damaged besides that, however.

Yeah man, you just don't fuck with people's cars. That is going too far. It just pisses me off. It was probably some dumbass who wouldn't even know what to do if he got in the car.

I think Nissan really needs to look into a sensor alarm for the sunroof. That is probably the easiest way to get into the car to steal it. You don't have to fuck up the door or even fidget with the alarm. Something that needs attention.

thanx for the info on how to break into ur cars

question: seeing that maximas are in the high rage of nissan automobiles and also the i-30, u'd think they would have and all around alarm that protects everything....i it seems like it'd go off cause wouldn't they have to climb on the car to get in the sunroof?? or is the factory alarms just for the doors??

See, that is what I'm trying to figure out. I'm talking with the Nissan dealer tomorrow, along with my dad, about this.

Actually, you don't need a glass sensor, just get a shock sensor and add it to the stock alarm system.

yeah, that shock sensor sounds like a good idea, but i don't know how good it actually works...i would be smart and actually go with the glass sensor, the one that is actually attached to the glass. or better yet, go with radar. i had shcok sensors on my old hard, and it took a big hit to actually trigger the damn thing. so maybe the sensitivity could have been turned up, but then, the thing will go off all the time. don't waste the money for a cheaper solution, get the good stuff
