92 Stealth non starter
Hi Guys,
I have just bought the above car as a non-runner...it is quite a rare car here in Spain and nobody knows anything about it The story is: Car had an erratic idle - revving up and dropping back again etc etc. It was given to a "mechanic" to sort out....1.5 years later he vanished and the car never ran again .The info I have is that he only removed the ECU and declared it to be the culprit. It has been plugged in again and now won't start at all. The car is being delivered tomorrow and just wondering if some of you guys can suggest what checks I might make to begin tracing the problems? does it crank and not start or does it not crank at all or what other kind of noises does it make when u try to start it?

Just got round to looking at the problem.....The wiring to the ECU seems to have had some earth wires messed with. Also there is a red and white wire with a home fitted connector coming from one ECU multiplug - I cannot find anywhere that it was connected to. Anyway......Switch on and all dash lights come on - turns to start position and lights stay same (no dimming ) and there are no clicks or other sounds from anywhere. just nottrying to crank at all. any ideas where to start on this model?
