96 4x4 Engine Removal
engine is locked up and looking to find out the easiest way to get the engine out. looks tight and wondering if the tranny can come with engine or do i have to seperate?

Dude that sucks and is a PITA. You need to take out all the cab body mounts except the last two and lift the body up at least two inches in order to get to the top bellhousing bolts. If you plan on keeping it now is the perfect time to do a 2 or 3 inch body lift so you'll have room for future engine and tranny removal. I put a 3 inch on my 91 s10 blazer and have since removed and installed my tranny for a rear main oil seal replacement and the body lift made it a breeze. Good luck.

If it is a ZR2 you usually don't have to lift the body. if you cant get to the two upper bell housing bolts from underneath you can usually get them from up top with flex head box end wrench.
