Air bag sensor locations???Help!!
My son recently replaced the front end on his 99 taurus. The air bags were deployed when a king gentleman pulled in front of him and tried to total it out. We have another car we are getting parts from but we have no idea where sensors are located for the air bag system. I currently get a code 19 from the air bag light in the dash. ( It blinks once then pauses and blinks nine more times when I pull the ignition switch bach a bit.)
WHERE ARE THOSE SENSORS LOCATED and WHAT DOES A CODE 19 MEAN???HELP!!!

Re: Air bag sensor locations???Help!!
The code 19 is your data memory is full. You need to replace the Reswtraint Control Module.
The front sensor is located under the radiator cover in front center of the radiator. The side impact sensors are located under the carpet beneath the front seats. You also have the clockspring under the steering wheel and the seatbelt tensioners.

Thank you for your very prompt reply. Can you tell me about the seat belt tensioners?

Re: Air bag sensor locations???Help!!
Remove the B pillar trim to see if it is there. It may or may not have them. If the seat belt seems to work properly, retract and extend normally, then either the pre-tensioners are OK or it does not have them.
