Ignition switch replacement

Hi, I have to replace the ignition switch (not the key cilinder) on my '95 Transsport. It looks a simple job but access is very limited. I've removed the 2 bolts which hold the top mounting of the steering collom but it doesn't improve much. Anyone done this and has feedback for me? Thanks.

Re: Ignition switch replacement

ignition sw at the bottom of column.remove cover under dash there are 2 bolts/screws holding switch to column.they are slotted for adjustment.remove elec. connector, remove screws then move switch to allow you to remove the rod.be careful removing the rod so it does'nt become disconnected at the other end.its always a good idea to mark old sw. position so the new 1 goes back in the same place so adjustment may not be neccessory.reconnect elec. connector.Good Luck

Re: Ignition switch replacement

Thanks!
I managed to replace the switch. Releasing the 4 bolts of the steering collum gave me enough space to make it a fairly easy job.
All thanks for the feedback.

Andy
