2004 Cavalier
I need some help! My wife 2004 Cavalier seems too heat a little. Its a 2.2 motor. The cooling fan seems not to come on. The car only has 22,000 miles on it.

good question, is it actually going into the red (overheating)? does the fan turn on when you turn your A/C on?

No it doesn't go red. it could be me, but with the newer car i'am lost. the fan works, its just that we lost a little fluid and i got worried. i'am going to drive it for a few days and if it the same its going to the garage.
but one question i do have is could there be fluid lost if you are running the a/c all the time? melvin |

The vehicle will run a little hotter on the really warm days with the a/c on. It has to because of the heat transfer of the condensor that sits in front of the radiator.
The A/C and the cars cooling system are two different systems. The cooling system is resposible for keeping the engine cool and the A/C keeps the cabin compartment cool. They work completely independantly of one another, basically. With the a/c on you will see water coming out of the area under the car on the passenger side behind the wheel. This is normal. It is nothing more than the moister that has condensed onto the evap core and then dribbled its way out of the evap drain. You should never loose any coolant at any time. If it gets low there is a reason. it may not be blatenly obvious at first but it will continue to get worse over time.

sometimes a fuse inline but more likely a sensor
