99 Blazer Stuck in 4hi
Hey everybody...I have a 99 Blazer 4X4 automatic transmission and its stuck in 4 hi. Ive tried removing the battery for an hour or so and it still seems stuck. I also today noticed some transmission fluid has been leaking and im thinking this has something to do with the vacuum line. Any advice or tips on how to fix this is greatly appreciated. Im really a novice when it comes to cars and trucks but I am trying to learn. Thanks in advance everyone.

Re: 99 Blazer Stuck in 4hi
233 0r 236 transfer case?
236 has the auto button on shift buttons. Any service ransmission/transfer case lights on? 233 ground pin 13 to pull codes. 236 you will need a transfer case capable scanner to get code. If you can get codes post back codes. What are the shift button lights doing? Have you checked all fuses and wiring? The vacuum part locks front axel in and out. The transfer case is shifted into 4W and out by electric. Can you hear or feel the electric motor shift ot try to shift it. Where is the transmission fluid leak coming from? Not saying it is your problem but they have problems with the shift button switch. Have a look at it and see if it is switching good. Post back with info.
