Greetings to brcidd & old_master,
It's been a while since my last problem. I had the problem with the fuel line leak in the intake. Thanks for that help. My problem now, I was driving home and the van just died out like if I was on empty. I put some gas but it would not turn on. I added a bit of gas into the intake to see if it would start, it would turn on but would die out very fast, like if fuel was not getting through. I took off the fuel line from the fuel filter, but there is good fuel pressure passing through the filter, so that rules out the filter. I can hear the fuel pump running with the ignition on the on position. There is good pressure although it can not be started. My cousin used a computer to check what was wrong and it indicated the ignition control module. I changed it but no change. I don't know what else to do. There is good spark, so what could it be? I have the CMFI injection system. Here is a link to it: http://www.autozone.com/shopping/rep...00c152800a8086 Please give me some ideas on what to do. I'm getting so fed up with this van. I know it's a 95 but could it be this time? ![]() Any questions you need, I'll be here waiting....

Re: 95 Astro/ Fuel or Electrical Problems?
Put a fuel pressure gage on it-- need ignition on pressure and bleed down time- just looking at the fuel filter flow won't get it done- need accurate measurement of fuel pressure- your fuel regulator system requires 59+ psi to start and run.

Re: 95 Astro/ Fuel or Electrical Problems?
Hey, I finally checked the fuel pressure and it only went up to 10. Let me mention that I used a air conditioner pressure gauge, is that ok? It had all the same connectors and basically the same gauge. My cousin, who loaned it to me, said it is the same. Will you confirm that? Well, does this means I have a fuel pump problem? If so, can you give a link with-in the forum that gives me clear instructions in doing this job? I've lowered gas tanks before on Astro Vans, but it was probably the hard way cause it took me a while. Well, I'll be here doing research on getting a fuel pump. I know you said it is better to get a new one, but I found a 1997 van in the junk yard recently brought, they took the engine out cause it was good which means that the fuel pump must be good, do you think it will worth getting?

Re: 95 Astro/ Fuel or Electrical Problems?
A/C gage will work in a pinch-- just don't put gas back into an a/c system
I would not use a used pump- too much work to take out the used one and the bad one as well as installing one that may fail in a few months.. But it is your choice- changing the pump is no big deal- just have the take near empty- so siphon or pump out as much fuel as possible.

Re: 95 Astro/ Fuel or Electrical Problems?
Hey, thanks for the advice. I will be buying a new one at Advance Autoparts for $96.98, here's the link to it:
http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductD...ype=52&PTSet=A Your right about a used one, although i do plan to get rid of this van due to all the work it needs. I can say that it will be good for parts unless someone wants to buy it for parts. Well, I was wondering how to pump out the gas or siphon it? I was thinking of taking the fuel line off the filter and allowing it to pump out through there. Dropping the tank is going to be the hard one for me. I don't have one of those large floor jacks. I have the van up on ramps. I do have the book to help me.
