Bigger Horn

Is it possible to install a bigger horn that is much louder than what is already there? People don't seem to even respond when they get honked at.

Re: Bigger Horn

Anything is possible. I would check into a nostalgic "Oooogha" horn or something off the wall.

Re: Bigger Horn

Install a frieght train horn on your car. Go to youtube.com and look up train horn, its funny to see people's reactions to see that noise come from a car.

Re: Bigger Horn

Every time I bought an economy car that had a "Toot Toot nyuch nyuch" horn
in it, I went to the Junk Yard and asked the man to get me a big American Car
or American Truck horn - one that would make you jump out of your pants!

Then I buy a RELAY from Schucks for $4 and wire it up directly to the Positive
Battery Post.
"Heavy Duty Relay" DF005 (20-3529-8) sold by Tiger Accessory Group, LLC
It is sold in a Bubble Pack in the electrical section of an Auto Parts Store.

It makes your car "stand out" when you honk!

Go to this Thread and read my posts....tells you how to do it (with pictures).

Re: Bigger Horn

I am surprised that the ACLU 'Goon Squad' didn't show up and tear it out by
it's 14 gauge roots and have you arrested for making someone "enraged".

There are places where playing that horn could get you in trouble.....

Docs directions are straight forward and the method i've been using for years! Go to his link and follow it....and again, just make sure you pick a good spot and clean it off good (Bare metal) for grounding/mounting the new horn bracket to the frame OR, Use a "Self Tapping" metal screw of decent size to mount the horn bracket to the frame for grounding the horn. Wire grounding will also work for the horn but the bottom line is: When the bare metal of the horn makes contact with the frame, it's grounded-----what ever method you use.
