Rattle Cans
A couple of questions:
1) When painting a shell using a rattle can (Halfords) what's the optimum distance to hold the can away from the model when spraying? 2) Hows best to heat up the cans prior to spraying? |

Re: Rattle Cans
Optimum spray distance depends on you. With spraycans, distance is the easiest way to control how quickly paint is being applied (the closer the can is, the quicker paint builds up). 1-2 feet is a pretty standard range, but you have to determine how close to spray by watching the performance of the paint as it is applied.
The best way to warm cans is to place them in hot water for a few minutes. Try to keep the nozzle dry when you're doing this. Also, do not attempt to heat the water while the can is in it- heat the water first.

Re: Rattle Cans
At the risk of sounding stupid - how hot should the water be? Boiling or out of the tap hot?
