BMW 320i ÖTM decal issue - Have thes decals gone bad?
Hey guys,
this BMW 320i (it´s not a M3 ) arrived today at my house.![]() Though it says 320i on the kit´s box, Revell added the stock M3-rims so that you have the chance to actually build the M3 street version - only issue with this idea is that the proper street interior is missing. Nevermind I want to go for this (the Luitpold-von-Bayern-Version): ![]() ![]() When I looked through the box I set sight on the decals. Mmmhh, little wondering - rechecking the box - looking at the decals again. Darn it, the excess on the decals is suppossed to be white (also the number-decal, the Castrol-sign, etc)! Well on the decals it must have turned yellow. Due to age or bad handling of the kit, I suppose. ![]() ![]() Before the Klutz is going to ask ...I used the search function and göögle on this issue. Have these decals gone bad?? Any chance of saving them or will I need to set for another and different Red Bull decal set to build "my" version of this ÖTM-Touring car? I remember this issue being discussed on this forum...Any help is greatly appreciated!I´m also looking for reference pics...Any links, anybody? Robert

Tape them on your window. Some days or even weeks of sunlight will turn yellow into white again.

Uuuuuummmmm dude.... Did you take off the protective cover sheet? That looks like it's still on there.
See how it's peeled up on the corners? Pull on that, I'm pretty sure that is the paper sheet that they put over decals to protect them prior to use. ***Edit*** Ahh you are referring the the yellowing... I misread. Still take off the cover sheet so we can get a better look.

Sünbleaching the decals can wörk well to ün-gelb them. Höwever, do nöt tape them directly to the window. Place them in a plastic bag and tape the bag tö the window. That way any cöndensation that might collect on the glass wön't destroy the decals.
Which street M3 rims does it come with? Dö they say BMW Motorsport on them...?
