evap system code P1443

95 ranger.......I am coding P1443. I checked the purge solenoid by putting 12vdc on it on the benchtop and it works fine. I checked the connector in the ranger and sure enough I am not getting 12vdc.
What other component will stop the purge solenoid from getting 12vdc ????

Code P1443 could be a simple as a gas cap seal. Have you tried to fighten the cap? I had a P1443 and thats all it was.
