idling problem info hesiatation/cutting off

i posted about and idling problem on a 1989 caprice 350> i checked all the hoses sprayed carb cleaner around and didn't find anything lose cracked etc. I changed the egr valve cause i had one laying around from a previous car

What it does is starts to jump usually when warm at a light or so seems only when the car is in drive and warm. Sometimes it will shut off. Also i have noticed reverse is worse it idles a a little bad in drive but throw in reverse and its a lot worse i have the vacuum gauge on the dash and it seems to fluctuate when in reverse i know the psi goes down but that might be normal. Not sure if its suppose to fluctuates in reverse im not sure.

P.s. It kinda feels it wanst to cutoffon certain turns. thanks

Any help would be appreciated

Have you checked your fuel pressure? Should be 9-13psi for your TBI car.

My '84 was doing something similar. It wound up being a bad plug wire at the distributor cap. It was badly arced, I replaced the cap and wires and it cured it. Take a look at the wires and cap before buying anything.
