Re: A few car show pics (mostly B-bodies)

Oh man that reminds me.... I saw a car that almost made me cry like a little kid that can't get the toy he wants. A beautiful, mint condition and I mean MINT 1974 (I'm almost sure it was a '74, but I wouldn't bet my life on it) Caprice Classic coupe convertable with 42000 original miles. Paint was original and damn near perfect aside from a couple of small chips on the front, red interior in nearly flawless purely original condition. Soft convertable top was the only non-original thing, it had been replaced 2 years ago. 2bbl 350, also all original. No air conditioning, but it did have power windows. Underneith was very clean, and free from rust. Exhaust had just been replaced, to stock spec. An old couple used it as a trade-in for a Honda they purchased. The asking price: $14,995. If I had the money, I'd honestly have bought it. Thats like "The Car" that I want someday.

Ah yeah i know what you mean pete, my dream car if i could afford one would be a 94-96 impala ss, i'd trick it out with a nice flowmaster exhaust, some HID headlamps, LED tail lamps, air intake, and thats just the start, but i'd keep the body and interior mostly stock. i know they arent classics (yet anyway) but they're so cool looking and built to perform while still being a roomy four door. whever i see one i always turn my head.

Thats in my top 5 most wanted cars. Theres a guy on my street that has one now that you mention it. Only thing though is that he doesn't really "cherish" the thing cause its dirty and he uses it as a storage container. And the other thing that kills me is that its purple! I'm pretty sure its not a stock color cause the paint is peeling all over the place like someone did a bad paint job. His exhaust sounds nice though..

Re: A few car show pics (mostly B-bodies)

Theres also another guy on my street that has an 80's Buick Regal and a 70's Monte Carlo thats been sitting in his driveway for years. I've been tempted to just ask if he'd sell, though i dunno which i'd prefer cause both cars appeal to me in one way or another. I'll have to run by sometime and snap a pic without looking suspicious

Re: A few car show pics (mostly B-bodies)

my neighbor right across from me has a red 87 monte carlo, it used to be white but its like a blood red now, they did a really good job on it, i rode in it and the interior is mint as well.
