How to replace E36 side marker lights?

purchased clear side light marker replacements, but they came with zero install instructions. They appear to be a pop out with a spring tab, but not sure and do not want to damage the sheet metal...........is it that simple?

It's that simple. Unscrew the one screw and slide it forward. Easy.

If it's a later model E36 you just slide it forward then pull out the rear of it. I believe they changed in 1996.
