Washing/Cleaning micro mesh?

Can you wash the 3200-15000 micro mesh without messing up it's abrasive properties? It doesn't say anywhere on the packaging if you can get it wet.
I'd hate to try it, and then destroy brand new MM.

Re: Washing/Cleaning micro mesh?

You can most certainly get the micro mesh products wet.
I always use mine wet, as it helps them work by carrying away the "sanding dust".

As for actually washing them, I am not sure if you are talking about sticking them in the dishwasher, that might not be good.
But you certainly use them wet, and I would recommend that to using them dry.

I agree, I always use mine wet also, just like any other wet sanding process.

I've never had any issues with it and doing it this way seems to always keep them clean and lasting longer.

Re: Washing/Cleaning micro mesh?

It works best wet; but works well dry too.

You can clean it with soap, warm water, and and old toothbrush.

It lasts quite a long time.
