Replacing camshaft sensor..where is it?

Can anyone tell me and my 2 left hands where I can find the camshaft sensorin my 96' Grand Voyager SE? Some exact hints if you would.

Thanks!

Re: Replacing camshaft sensor..where is it?

If you have the 3.0 ltr engine it's part of the distributor. If you have the 3.3 or 3.8 it's just aft of the thermostat housing. There are two sensors there, the one to the left and below is the camshaft sensor. The one to the right is the engine temp sensor. Are you getting a code or is this the most logical choice in your problem?

Re: Replacing camshaft sensor..where is it?

Have not had it scanned but it is doing exactly what many others one here were experiencing and is was the camshaft sensor. It will run perfect then all of the sudden driving down the road just start to sputter and almost die but not die, then it either just starts running again or I have to let it sit for 20 mins then no problem sometimes for days.

Thanks
