Cool Looking for a good ABS scanner

I do repairs on all makes and models. Lately the ABS problems have been overwhelming. I just use a code reader for check engine lights and have been doing pretty well with that. I try not to get in over my head. I have been taking some vehicles to my buddies shop and he hooks them up to his Snap On Modis and tells me which speed sensor is bad, but he is not real close.
I would like to purchase a piece of equipment that will read speed sensors (possibly show a graph of the sensors while driving) and and check other components of ABS systems. however, I don't want to spend what he spent on that Modis.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Looking for a good ABS scanner

Anything that is OTC is junk, made by SPX and they screw people also not standing behind their equipment. They did it to my father's side of the family, denied my Grandma Rose retirement money from my grandfather whom passed away about 39 years ago,my father's dad because he did not work there for 20 years yet.He worked at SPX for 19 and a half years, died of a heart attack at age 39 and my grandma Rose recieved his 20 year pin. Some you cannot read with an aftermarket scan tool and Chrysler is one,1997 and down. They have to be read with the DRB III.The factory scan tools do the best job if you want to spend the money.

Re: Looking for a good ABS scanner

If you want to spend the money, the Snap On Modis and it goes about $8,000.00 brand new.The Snap On Modis is the top of the line over the OTC and AutoXray.
