Ninja Vs. Hyundai

I was coming home from school, and there was a chick in her car on the side of the road talking to someone, and her stupid ass didn't look before she pulled out, and she hit me on my Ninja. I swerved a little, to avoid a direct collission. Thankfully I didn't lay the bike down. Her car is all kinds of dented and gashes in it. It's what she gets. So My foot is bleeding and bruised and swollen. Might have a broken bone or two because I can't bend 3 of my toes. My paint is slightly scratched, and my foot peg broke off. AND my 200 dollar Ducati Puma's I bought while I was in Italy got fucked up. So now I can barely walk and my bike is fucked up. Grr. Highschool girls just need to not drive. Senior year and this is what I get on the 4th day of school :/

Re: Ninja Vs. Hyundai

That sucks. Hopefully you're going to go to the doctor and let her insurance pay for it, especially if the police report indicates she was at fault. Have you notified insurance?

I was hoping for something funny. This is not. Hopefully you'll be back i action sooner then you think. Stick it to her though. Make sure she pays for your trip back to Italy to buy some new shoes!

Re: Ninja Vs. Hyundai

Yeah. She has USAA. And from what I hear, they do good coverage.
And someone said tell USAA that I have 'pain and suffering' and I get more money or something. I mean shit, I can barely walk and 3 toes STILL don't move.

Re: Ninja Vs. Hyundai

Didn't they have an ambulance on the scene, or take you to the hospital? I mean, you need some X-rays dude! Insurance will make your financial losses straight, but you need to get your leg taken care of!

Re: Ninja Vs. Hyundai

I didn't go to the hospital. But just go to my MySpace.
www.myspace.com/metallicaxpunk
and click my picture and there's an album with picture of all the messed up stuff. Let me know what you think. Oh, and the swelling is down a lot, actually. Still really bruised. Vicodin and Neproxin have been keeping me alive. Haha.

Re: Ninja Vs. Hyundai

Man you should never ever decline medical care when in an accident, especially if you are not at fault. This injury may follow you for the rest of your life. Wait till you get a little older and that ankle hurts like a mofo every morning when you get out of bed.

The longer you wait to have it looked at the harder it will be to get compensation for it. If you had it looked at at the scene or even that night you would have been fine. But after a few days you can probably kiss any compensation goodbye.

Always document everything, even if you feel fine after the accident make sure every little bump and scrape is on record.

Re: Ninja Vs. Hyundai

Never RMA at an accident anywhere, I can't tell you how many people call up looking for PCRs(emt stuff) for insurance compensation after they're hurting a few .

Re: Ninja Vs. Hyundai

Yeah, well my mom is out of town (I'm only 17) so I gotta wait for her to get back. But I have pictures of everything. The swelling went down, but it's still bruised. I'll probably still go to the doctor when she gets back.

Re: Ninja Vs. Hyundai

It will be too late. I have heard of insurance refusing coverage after only 24 hours. Don't know how true that is or how long you really have. But it makes sense. Think about it, you could have fallen off your roof two days after the accident and be trying to say you hurt your foot in the accident for all the insurance company knows.

edit: What are pictures going to prove? how do they know that you didn't take those 3 years before the accident or 3 days after it? For that matter how do they know it is even your foot? Insurance does not like to part with their money and you have to think two steps ahead of them. Go to a doctor ASAP, you should have gone right away.

Re: Ninja Vs. Hyundai

Yes, go to a doctor and get an X-ray. The foot doenst look too bad, but I've seen lots of injuries, mine and those of others that look fine until the X-ray gets a picture or 3.

Re: Ninja Vs. Hyundai

Since, I'm 17, don't I have to have a parent with me for an x-ray, being that I'm not legally an adult?

Re: Ninja Vs. Hyundai

Please tell me your mother knows of the accident, if not she'll be more mad that you didn't tell her then spending the money to get you healthy. With that said, they really can't refuse you medical care. If they do, call the proper authorities. Also, they can't if you were brought in by ambulance after an accident. My suggestion get into another one.

Kidding. Go get checked out ASAP.

Re: Ninja Vs. Hyundai

If you get into an accident, go and get checked out. the hospital isn't going to demand payment upfront or not let you leave. They take your name address etc and bill you later. they even work out payments if you need it. its not like they demand payment before you can be seen. And if it happens to be the other car at fault then their insurance will cover it. You may have to front the money but you will get payed back. If you wait then it will be harder and harder to get the other company to pay for it. Harder to prove and all that jazz.

Yeah, my mom knows. But alright. I'll tell her. She'll be back in about 3 hours.
