Outside Driver door handle removal

I have a 94 Silverado 1500 I want to replace the outside door handle on the drivers door. I took the panels off and I have removed the 2 10mm bolts the one on the inside and the one on the side. I removed one of the rods to the lock mech but there is one other rod I can't figure out. Does anyone have any info on the removal of the assembly? I putting on a new door and want to bring the lock over from the old door to the new one.

Re: Outside Driver door handle removal

Done this couple of times and it don't get any easier. The second rod is behind the window track, you'll have to bend your hand around to get at it and pull it off. I call it a "blind" assembly, meaning your going be feeling around to work with this one.

Be patient, it can be done...
