|
89 cutlass supreme wont start
After driving my car and it has warmed up and i shut it off, sometimes when i go to start it again it wont start. It does nothing. I then have to wait anywhere from 5 minutes to hours before it will start again. Any suggestions? Could it be the knock sensor?

do you wait longer for it to restart the longer you drive before you shut off??
i'd say no on the knock sensor.. ''it does nothing'' does this mean no cranking??or cranks but does'nt start??

Check battery cable connections and grounds, also check for 12v to the starter solenoid when trying to crank, ( 2 man job), if you have it the starter is bad.

OR the starter could be bound by heat from the exhaust down pipe. A heat shield helps. Maybe
