traction control switch

My traction control switch is lit up and I can't make it go off, the light in the speedo cluster is off. So is it on? Is it off? Do I need to fix it somewhere?

Re: traction control switch

More than likely the switch is broken. Junk yard is your best bet. If the light is on the traction control is ON. Meaning it is monitoring the wheels vs the rpms of the engine. Only when the system is needed and actually effects the engine, does the TRAC light on the cluster go on.

Re: traction control switch

The traction light in the cluster comes on briefly while starting up. It goes off after the car is running, but the switch above the radio is lit up all the time and can't be turned off.

Re: traction control switch

Thats normal. The system is most likely doing checks, just like the abs does it upon start up.

As i said before, you may need a new switch
