Cool Front-end vibrates in bumps

Whats Up!

I have a 2000 regal gse with the supercharger, when I am acceleration in a turn or when I am accelerating and the cars front-end dips, I get a grind feeling in the seat. Have any you ever had that problem, if so, how did you fix it?

Thanks.

Also, my regal has the Grand Tourism Suspension.

Re: Front-end vibrates in bumps

Welcome to AF.

All Regal GS/GSE models have the GT suspension but regardless suspension and drivetrain components are subject to normal wear and depending on your mileage. How many miles do you have?

Sounds like time for new struts.

Re: Front-end vibrates in bumps

What brand did you use and were the strut coil springs tested or measured?

Re: Front-end vibrates in bumps

Out of curiosity, what is the difference between measured and coil springed?

Re: Front-end vibrates in bumps

Obviously the struts have coil springs. As part of strut replacment procedure the spring height should be inspected to make sure in specs, no damage/broken or worn out. What brand struts were used and were the front upper strut mounts and load bearings replaced?

What else can you say about the noise and the conditions?. Describe the grinding sound.

Re: Front-end vibrates in bumps

Well, I can't speak what was done when the struts were replaced, because I did not own the car, but i was told by the previous owner that they were done by firestone and he still has the receipts, which I will try to get a hold of as soon as possible.

But the vibration comes whenever the front end of the car dips or when I make turns, if and only if I am on the the throttle. When I off the throttle everything is smooth. It is like that added pressure from the throttle makes it vibrates. My dad thinks it is the ball bearings or the cv joints, which I wont be able to take the wheel off to see until friday, because I don't have the proper equipment to inspect myself.
