Place your bets! Sebring this Saturday!

Well folks, we've got the strongest line-up of prototypes this side of the FIA, and the most diverse field of GTS and GT cars in ages (fewer 911's and more Ferraris is always a cause for celebration).

What are your predictions for the class winners at Sebring this year?

LMP900- Bentley EXP Speed 8. Martin Brundle's ride.
LMP675- MG/Lola.... in my book it doesn't matter which one.
GTS- Prodrive Ferrari 575M Maranello. Forza Cavaillano Rampante!!!
GT- Risi Competizione Ferrari 360GT Modena. Again, Ferrari GOOD! Porsche BAD! (unless it's a really uncommon Porsche that actually requires something more than a whiny rich boy to drive it fast, Like a 917, or a 935, or Carrera RSR, or 914/6)

Those are my predictions, but I'll also wish good luck to the GT Morgan effort, the now less-restricted DoranLista Judd-MG/Dallara (yes, the engine is now badged MG, YAY! ), the Saleens, the Lister, and Boris Said in the Alegra BMW M3 GT.

I'll go with you except for GTS, where the Vettes will win Although, I'm not so sure...Corvette has not had very good luck at this track...

I agree with you on all except the GT class. The Porsche's are just too fast an too reliable. I would like to see a 360 win the class though. GTS could go either way C5 or Prodrive 550. I would like to see the Zonda place high.

The TVR has my vote for the long shot (not really) but I would like to see them do well.

I'll give you the reliability, but the Modenas have the speed now that Ferrari is backing the development. Now that the cars have the new gearbox parts to cancel out the delay in shifting (last year's Ferrari sequential actually shifted slower than the Porsche crashbox manual because it was too stock in content) they've picked up a considerable amount of speed. Plus, the 360 Modena naturally has less drag thanks to its great aerodynamic underbody that negates the need for a huge wing like the 911's.

I agree that a 360 should win Sebring. But I contend that they can and probably will.

Lola for shure.
Corvettes should win.
Too bad the new Ford GT won't be racing in LeMans.

Oh prodrive 550's all the way. The program is more mature now, making it harder for corvette to contend with rediculous speed AND a car that holds together.

And I agree, that'd be the coolest thing if TVR pulled even just a podium finish.
