Question Interior lights always on

The interior lights are the latest electrical gremlin in my 99. They are now on all the time. I have to shut them off on the overhead to keep them from killing the battery. Any ideas? Also the power slider quit at the same time. I am wondering if it is the overhead switch set? Any ideas are welcome.

Re: Interior lights always on

One of the door switches which controls the lights may have failed...... possibly the switch on the sliding door.

Re: Interior lights always on

In the manual there is a section to reset the slider (I have had to do this numerous times). You have to pull the radio fuse from the fuse box under the hood, wait 30 seconds, reinsert - then perform a couple other tasks, it is all outlined in the manual. i would also clean the contacts at the front of the door opening to make sure the van realizes the door is closed which should turn off the interior lights.
