Lincoln LS hates Bocsh plugs
Dont use Bosch Platinum 2 Splitfires gave my 2000 V-8 a bad miss and made it sputter and jerk in between gears during acceleration. Put my old plugs back in and all was fine. Waste of 30 sum dollars.

Re: Lincoln LS hates Bocsh plugs
That's becoming a surprisingly common story. It doesn't seem like there are too many modern vehicles that do perform better with the aftermarket "performance" spark plugs. I've wasted my money too many times on Bosch plugs, only to find that I need to go with an OEM-style plug to get the vehicles to run correctly. I don't think it's anything Bosch is doing, I think any of the performance style plugs would do the same.
Now I just go with the OEM style or Iridium plugs. I haven't had issues yet with Iridiums, I've tried both NGK and Denso. -Rod |

Re: Lincoln LS hates Bocsh plugs
i've found that autolite work great in all brands of cars, haven't tried in foreign, but used in dodge, chrysler, ford, lincoln, and mercury. also found out that even better yet. champion plugs are prefered in mopar motors(dodge and chrysler). i went from autolite to champion, and noticed a slight increase in gas mileage, not a huge difference, but enough to notice. and it seems to run smoother too. not as much as a rough idle at a stop light. and that's in my dodge ram 1500 with a 5.9L V8. (2WD though

Re: Lincoln LS hates Bocsh plugs
Champion is the OEM plug for Chryslers, so that should be surprising.
