GMPP trailing arms rattle

Any of you guys that have installed the GMPP Handling Kit have an issue with the trailing arms rattling? The metal sleeve in the bushing on the end that mounts to the frame is slightly larger than the stock ones creating a pretty annoying rattle on my Intrigue. Did any one come up with a solution? I guess I could look for a bolt that's about 1/32-1/16 larger in diameter.

Thanks.

Oh wow, I dont recall having that issue. Im sorry to hear that man, seems like youve had nothing but bad luck with your install so far.

Did you get any of the rest of the kit installed? You like it? Im sure those trailing arms arent doing their full job if they have play in the mounts.

Re: GMPP trailing arms rattle

Yeh, it's all installed now. I'm really liking the improved cornering. I put the strut tower brace on the rear.

I can grab a rear tire at 3 & 9 o'clock & wiggle the tire slightly, I thought at first I didn't tighten the lugs but it's the slop in the bolt/bushing. Guess the T.A's are coming off if I can't find a suitable bolt.

Re: GMPP trailing arms rattle

Actually I lied, I just installed the t.a. that gmpp replaced due to the original one being bent. (I had just the drivers side on for a week, which was rattling) This time I just snugged everything up lightly, then dropped the car & drove it up & down the drive a few times. I was able to get another turn out of the rattling side & cranked down the other side real good. No more rattles.

Now I'm thinkin' about doing the wimpy looking rear end links.

I found some very troubling rust on the drivers side rear strut tower while installing the brace. Looks like some missed damage from an earlier smashy.

Yeah, I remember I considered doing the rear endlinks too. If you ever see a picture of the Moog ones for example, and compare them to whats on there...its sad.

Im glad you like it though. I like the cornering as well, and to me it just seems to hold the road better, even if youre going straight, seemed a little floaty before. Just seems to have a more commanding presence haha.
