One problem solved one to go

I've got The Transmission Range Sensor replaced (see previous post)....what I think has been happening, is the TRS was bad so when driving in Overdrive at highway speed it would interminttently shift down into Drive thus causing my second problem when the TAC gets up in the 3000 range the engine develops a miss.....does this sound about right? and what could be causing the engine to miss? I even tested it in park it still starts to miss when it gets up in the 3000 rpm range....guess I should mention its a 2003 Taurus 3.0L flex fuel Vin code 2 with 84,000 miles on it....

Your car has a rev limiter when in park or neutral, so the rev to 3krpm in park is not valid.

Have you given the car a tune up recently? I don't remember your previous post. Maybe you could post a link to the previous post?
