no power

wife driving van and it just shut off, no dash lights in run position, no acc either .99 3.8 100000mi. this is second time it happened ,the first time it did start when i arrived . now i getnothing checked fuses ido gey power from start wire turning key but no acc. i just changed out ignition switch as i thought that was causing it.any suggestions would be very appreiceated.

I would check grounds left front of engine compartment and right rear of engine compartment. Check both battery terminals and clean them. Then check ground at the engine use an ohm meter and check from battery negative to engine. Your problem acts like a loose connection or a bad ground.

sorry i didnt give full story. what i get is turn back key ,no power, key forward i get power to wipers, and radio but no start, i hear relay click,there is no dash power whatsoever.pulled fuses all good .figuerd ignition switch so replaced, same . a mechanic has van now and he says it sounds like a fusable link. im not to good at electrics so ill let him have a try.. does this sound like this could be problem?
