If it has DPI (Dual Point Injection) which i belive the STD's do, then you can only use a DPI ECU such as the DX or STD. There aren't many options with that particular injection system, thats why many of us opted to upgrade to the MPFI Multi Port Fuel Injection system in which case you can use a pm6 88-91 civic/crx Si ECU or 87-89 Integra PG7 ECU.

i agree with 91civicDXdude. You could only use ones that know how to tell your DPFI how to work. so 88-91 civic std and dx hatchs, dx and lx sedans, and crx dx's computer will work without having to convert to mpfi.

Any dpfi ecu will run any dpfi engine. These will all work with your engine:

88-91 civic/crx dx/lx/std

They will all work although the dx ecu is geared for the higher hp dx engine. None of these ecus will hurt your engine although they aren't going to help either. The dpfi system does not respond well to mods. The best bang for the buck mod would be upgrading to an mpfi system and then there are a bunch of other ecus you can use. Good Luck
