Violet, soft kustom '63 Ford Galaxie

Hi Guys!

Long time no see, have been stuck in a non-modeling mood for a loooong time. At least it feels lika a long time.

Anyway, managed to wrap this build up, the AMT 1963 Galaxie and put it on the shelf. Had some issues with the paint and got some clouds in the clear coats on the roof. Kind of slowed me down but eventually I felt that clouds or not it had to be finished.

Paint is a home brew from Tamiya spraycans, silver leaf with a touch of metallic blue and candy red that gave me a slight hint of lavender. Can't seem to get the hue right in a picture and even with the naked eye it's hard to see it. In some lights it comes to life, sneaky colour!
The roof is painted with a sparkling nailpolish and then clear coated.

Interior in pearl white and lavender with purple flocking on the floor. Scratchbuilt window cranks made from thin wire, some chrome tape and a dab of white glue for the knobs. Steering wheels is a Nardi.
Wheels I think is from a Chrysler? Got them from a friend that wasn't going to use them.
Made some eyelids from chrome tape cut to size and applied over the headlights.
