92 integra fail safe problem

ok i have a 92 acura integra with a b18a1 i have been having problems with it going into fail safe mode. after alot of constant high rpms it will only rev between 3500 and 4000 rpms and it does it very rapidly. i have found that if you hold it a wide open it will do it until you let off and let it idle and then it is fine. i am open to any sugguestion and i have a lot of spare parts to interchange.

i have changed the computer bought a reman distributor cap rotor plugs wires fuel lines filter. this is my dirt race car and this has made me only finish 1 race out of the 30 this year and now i am down to the last few

it does not have the mil light on even when the car goes into fail safe mode

any ideas are welcome this thing is beating me up . thanks
