fuel pump problem

have a 92 Blazer that was running fine until yesterday when it cut off on me going down the road and would not start back. Had it towed home and replaced the fuel pump, and fuel pump relay it still will not start .when I turn the key on I can't here the hum in the tank, I checked the old fuel pump by hooking it up to the battery direct and it works. I can't find a fuse dont know what else to do

Re: fuel pump problem

Big or little Blazer?
What engine and transmission?
Get a test light and check all fuses on both sides for 12 volts.

Re: fuel pump problem

ECM B fuse feeds fuel pump relay.
Check for power both sides.
Jumper gary wire to fuel pump with a 12 volt fused jumper wire and see if pump runs.
There also is a fuel pump test plug gray wire close to relay.
You can catch it at fuel pump relay and also check for 12 volts on orange wire to relay.
Good luck

Re: fuel pump problem

I checked the ECM B fuse for power it had power on both sides I check the fuel pump relay wires the orange wire has constant power the other wires have power when the swith is turn on the black and white wire does not have power either way
I went to the back where the fuel pump hooks up and checked the plug that supply power to the fuel pump it had power but it was weak now I will try to jump the gray wire direct to the fuel pump plug

Re: fuel pump problem

Which wire was weak?
Jumper gray wire and see if pump runs.
Also check the pump black ground wire/to frame for good ground.
Let us know how it goes.
