Si or ZC tranny????
Which is a better tranny to use and why? Thanx for your help.

1989 Crx Si -Aem cold air intake -thermal cat back -test pipe(makes exhaust sound really bad) -Skunk2 short shifter and knob -Hx wheels -Tenzo front and rear strut bars -parts waiting to go on- nuespeed header -waiting to be built-my spare a6 block, with y8 head, 93 valve cover, z6 intake manifold, integra tb....

depends...zc has shorter gearing so you'll have better acceleration......the trade off is that if you drive on the highway alot, you're gonna be revving high at 80mph....
...or so I've heard, I've had no first-hand experience. the zc is a big pita b/c of all the axle misinformation out there

Okay, i have the ZC tranny on my d16a6 and i used 88-89 teg axles for it, not a big deal... plus, i got a tranny with LSD.... And to solve the highway speed problem, i put in the final drive gear from my Si in the ZC tranny thus i get the short gearing for better acceleration and my speed isnt so high with the Si Final Drive on the Highway!!! Since i blew my tranny going 135 at least for about 2 minutes, anything was better than what i had
