what is the part called?

i have a 92 taurus with a 3.8 i just recently replaced the water pump and now its leaks not out of the water pump but there is a metal tube that runs from the water pump to the lower radiatior hose there is also a little hole for a bolt to go through....does anyone know what its called so i can go to a parts store and get a new one?

the tube your talking about you can go to parts store and have them pull water pump up and show you what part you need. i think your talking about the plug thats in it or to you mean the tube?

its the metal tube that goes on the inside of the water pump and there is a rubber o ring to keep the tube snug in the water pump and the other end goes the the lower radiator hose...thats the only way i know how to explain it

not exactly sure what a weho is...i know some about cars but never heard of that

the weho is where water pump starts leaking when it go's bad it leaks out that little hole on pump.and the o ring if parts store don't have one go to menards or some place then put sylacone on it also.

the water pump isnt bad...its brand new so is the rubber o ring...i dont need either i need the metal tube that goes from the water pump to the lower radiator hose...one end is a little worn so i think its that...i just need to know what the metal tube is called

ok tube they should hjave one or they can take out of a old core...

I think he's refering to a "weep hole".

it's really called a wehoe it's just a hole in the front of your water pump and it's little round hole and thats how you can tell your pump is leaking out the little round hole.
