86 Golf Diesel

Can anyone provide me with any info on HOW to bleed the fuel system. I am trying to rescue this VW and I have to make sure it runs but it being diedel I need to blled the system which I have no clue how!
Any info on how to is appreciated. I do not know anything else about this car except what make and model.
