hah, check out the post on MT vs Auto on this board.. this has been discussed to death, literally..

to sum it up in one line - buy what you like. the auto has a torque converter which makes it feel like more power, but in reality its just storing up that power than releasing it (hence the lag). track times don't lie, the 6MT is much faster 0-60, but most people won't notice that with a daily driver.. and make no mistake, both are plenty fast.

i've go tthe 6MT and am very happy. i like stick and just think its more fun and sporty.. i didnt really do it for the increased speed.

By much faster he means, maybe .05 faster to 60 and to the quarter mile. Besides that I've heard the same thing about the Zs manual tranny, one comment came from a stick owner who drove both before he ended up buying the stick because he thought about later on turboing it and how it will respond once it is blown.

i'd hate to bring back that debate again.. anyway, test drive both and buy the one you like. can't argue about that.
