Wierd radio problem

Hi i have a 96 escort lx

My sony stereo just suddenly stopped working So i took it out, i checked both fuses(room/radio). The wiring behind the deck is ok. I hear the cd changer in the back clicking so there is power going to the deck. I firstly took it out to look at my speaker wire because my left channel stopped working and this happened.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Your Sony player has 2 grounds on it. One is a black wire on the wiring harness and the other is the case ground to the chassis of the car. If the case isn't grounded it won't work properly.

Hi i fixed my radio, the power connecter was faulty so i replaced it and my radio works flawless
