Halfshaft Installation Help

I have already put the new shafts in, I havent driven the car yet, because I don't feel sure that I have the shafts all the way into the tranny. There is about 3/16" of an inch showing before the large cv housing bottoms out on the tranny seal...is that a normal distance? I never heard a click or snap telling me the shaft was in far enough, assistance is appreciated.

Re: Halfshaft Installation Help

I replaced both sides on my 98 a week or so back. I didn't hear any noticeable click etc either. If it's not leaking fluid and it's moving you got it right. Good luck...
