01 Tiburon Modification

I have a 2001 5 speed Tiburon and was wondering is it normal to be at 3k rpms at 60-65? Also what can i change in my car to get more horsepower and better gas mileage?

Revs sound about right, your Tib is the same as my Elantra (engine/tranny) and I don't have a tach, but I know the revs are up there from the sound.

You could look into an intake and exhaust to improve horsepower, but you'll only get better gas mileage if you keep your foot out of it. Most people complain that their mileage goes down after these mods, but it's because it changes the engine sound and they like to hear it, so down goes the right foot.
