Panoz Track Day Get Together

Since Eric and I are in the midst of major body work projects on the Panoz's, we are thinking we might be able to squeeze in our club's last event and I wanted to toss out an invite to any Panoz owner that is "local" to Carolina Motorsports Park (Kershaw SC):

Going to lil taladaga that weekend. It's a fun track but nothing like CMP.

Could be Glen and I - we're signed up - just waiting to see where the next Shuttle Launch attempt ends up. It's currently 10/8 - but Hanna is holding up moving the stack to the pad. So the launch could end up right on top of the event - and that just doesn't work for me.

It's a big team, but I liike to say - "Been throwin' people off the planet for 27 years"

Well the Hubble Telescope burped and the mission to fix it is being re-planned/re-scheduled . . . Sooooooo . . . No October Shuttle Launch.

Glen and I are on our way to CMP next Thursday and will be on site Friday - Sunday. From the looks of the registration - there will be THREE of us there. We're the Royal Blue "99".

Really looking forward to meeting up and experiencing a new track.

We are registered at the Colony Inn beginning - probably late - Thurs evening. It's a 7.5 hour drive for us according to Mapquest.

Cool -- can't wait to meet you guys -- going to be a good time. You also would not be the same folks that signed up for the Chin event at VIR in November are you?

Not sure where I am staying yet -- I have booked the Comfort Suites but may change since most everyone is at the Colony - the rate kinda scared me off the hotel a bit (not sure what 59.00 a nite my have as far as surprises)... Ill be driving al 3 days, Friday for the lapping day and Sat/Sun for the DE (I am also working the skid pad on Sat/Sun as well)...

I wanted to make sure you guys were aware:
Our club is a stickler for safety and they are adament about using roll bar padding -- if you don't have any, make sure you get some prior to coming -- they have turned people out of the pit in past events.

Just an FYI

To be more clear, not just padding, but HIGH Density SFI padding, not that thin "pool noodle" stuff that came on some of the cars.
