brake work
just had some brake work done on an 02 accent (back) shoes, hardware, and drums. also the right rear wheel cylinder. fronts are bad but getting done through a friend this wknd. after the work was done drove home 20km and the nuts on the rear wheels were extremely hot. I know the smell right now is typical but is this excessive heat normal. I can put my finger on the nut for about 1.5 seconds before a burn might set in. that was yesterday. today the wife took it for her commute around 100km roundtrip and i checked when she came back still hot. now i checked as soon as she pulled in the driveway so i dont know if that is how hot they normally get?
so is this heat normal or when should i expect the brakes to maybe wear in and become a little cooler? |

Re: brake work
Are you talking about the lug nuts?

Re: brake work
Recently, my underground parking garage became flooded. I noticed after driving through it that my brakes began to squal. Shortly after that they began to have an awful grinding noise. I have three questions. Is this related to driving through the water? What needs to be fixed and how much will it cost? Thanks.
