Zero McLaren MP4 Red

First time using this 'newish' addition to the Zero paints range and I must say I am very impressed with the colour match. It really has got that little bit extra punch that the other paints I have used to replicate this colour have lacked. It covers really nicely and takes clear coat beautifully. If I'm honest when i look at this colour at the side of Tamiya TS-36 or the Finisher's MP4 Red they really don't come close to the real colour and look far too 'red'
Here's a few pictures of it on the engine cover of the Tamiya McLaren MP4/7 I am building at the moment.I hope to have a W.I.P thread up soon on this model.

Re: Zero McLaren MP4 Red

Nice color indeed! I used TS-36 before and I have to say this one looks much closer to the fluorescent red used on the real McLaren F1s.

TS-36 is BAD. It looks good in the beginning, but I have had cases where it did change colour into wine red after some time. And an even worse case where the perfect and smooth surface after some months disintegrated.
