Exclamation 2001 Jetta- rear tires feel chocked

The other day I was driving and my ABS light and brake light briefly bllinked on and off. I didn't drive the car for a few hours. I left work and had no issues on the ride home. About two hours later I went to pull my car out and it feels like the rear tires are chocked. I was going to replace the rear brakes this weekend (they are sitting in my trunk). Does anyone know if there might be something else going on like my capliers seized up or someting with my e-brake. If so what can I do to fix it?

If the brakes are metal to metal than they might have locked up a little. Replace the brakes and see if the issue comes back. I know there was a recall back in the day for the 01 jettas for abs control modules.
