Jada Z06 Corvette

this is the z06 kit from jada, picked it up at michaels on sale a while ago. i painted the shell hot pink, didnt like it much so i put it away for a few months. saw it again yesterday and it went in the paint stripper, now its testors candy red over a gold base. i built and painted most everything else tonite while the first few coats of paint dried on the body.

the chrome on the wheels is pretty bright, almost too bright

i didnt do much to the interior, i was going to carpet it in that green faux mink but opted against it, the mats arent glued in either.

for the engine i used a few different blacks for some contrast, not showing up too well in the picture though

and the first few coats of candy red, few more coats and a few of clear and it should look straight.

thanks for looking. questions, comments and concerns are welcome.

Nice, I'm building the Mustang, these are pure fun.

Your tyres are on backwards.

ha, i just noticed that too as i scrolled down the page.

hows the mustang? thats the only kit i didnt get to inspect since it was still in a sealed box, where as the camaro, corvette and gt500 were all open for looking. might go back for the gt500, the camaro looked disappointing.

The wheels are ways too big.

The Rest of the car is pretty nice.

The mustang is nice, I really had fun building it. I wish the rear wheels sat a little further towards the body, but otherwise I really love it. I just made minee OOB except that I changed the steering wheel to a flat bottom, as I HATED the standard wheel's appearance.

I can recommend this kit if the style suits you, big wheels and all!!! Very nice crisp kit thats firs together like a dream.

Sorry for the Hijack, hurry up and finish yours so I can see it!!
