Any one have any clue how to get customer appreciation from FORD?

I have a rather new F150. On the road about 17-20 months. Computer FRIED out on "itself." I have a lot of highway miles so it was under the "extended warranty". Turns out the wire harness was rubbing against the steering column bracket and POOF - Found On Road Dead in the middle of the night - out of state - while traveling - stuck in the rain - on a bridge - and.....Roadside Assistance COULD NOT GET ME A TOW TRUCK!

Got slammed with a $200 deductible for this lovely quality defect less than 20 months on the road (44,000 miles - highway) - stuck with two nights bill for motel, $200 deductible - no rentals available - had to leave hunk of junk at a dealer and go back to get it. Only reimbursement seems to be my CASH paid out of pocket for a tow that a COP had to get for me. Sat in the rain on a HOT HUMID night with NO engine = no air conditioning - couldn't open the window since it was pouring and enjoyed this for about 2 hours at 1am on a Saturday morn. No Roadside Assistance

Last F150 I bought was pumping fuel from one tank to the other and pouring it out on the ground. THAT WAS NOT COVERED EITHER. IT was a 1994 and there was a recall for it through 1993. I swore I wouldn't buy another but thought MAYBE with the economy so bad that FORD would appreciate my money. NOPE! No departments to call. No one to talk to. Dealer useless. Customer Support Specialist was and didn't care!

Here I am again....after trying Ford again....

Customer CARE doesn't CARE! Sorry about your luck thanks for your $32,000! So.....buy american WHY? Support American jobs by blowing money out your pocket on quality defects that they will not take care of even if it is a CLEAR DEFECT? Mileage had NOTHING to do with this. There was NOTHING a customer could do to prevent this from happening.

Wires rubbing against the steering column bracket?

Oh ya......they did say: "Well, unfortunately, it's a man made product and things can happen." Interpreted...... WE GOT YOUR MONEY SUCKER!

Re: Any one have any clue how to get customer appreciation from FORD?

I have found with other situations (not ford customer care) that it is best if you do not talk with the LACKY answering the phones. They are usually under trained and have no actual authority to help you in anyway.

I usually insist that I speak to a supervisor and if that doesn't yield resuts I then ask to see their boss. And up the chain I go.

If you are unhappy with your service I would recommend you phone back and tell them what you want, in order to make this situation as right as it can possibly be. When you first talk with the LACKY and they tell you their is nothing that they can do. Say "Then I want to speak to your manager". Don't let them tell you what is possible.

I hate when customer service reps treat the customer like garbage.

Unfortunately, I did all that. They insist there are no other higher ups to talk to and what other phone numbers I managed to obtain get you nowhere.

It was a "customer support specialist" - the person that MAKES THE DECISION that was the biggest JERK.

I have a friend who is so loyal to Ford that he thinks he has connections. I told him to go ahead and try. I am sure he will find that they don't care.

It is very clear it was a quality defect and they don't care. Simple as that.

As far as I am concerned, none of our american made trucks are any better than any other to be buying one with lousy customer service. I have had 2 GM trucks, 2 GM SUV's and 3 GM cars and NEVER went through this. I have had 2 Ford trucks and went through this both times.

Guess I made up my mind on my next purchase.....or what I won't be buying.

I have noticed pickets at a dealer near where I used to live. Another one a customer had lemons painted on his car and parked in the dealer lot.
I don't know what happened but they sure got noticed by the dealer.
Probably even called police to try and get them moved.
