2002 venture head how to?

what are the possibe side effects of a LIG gone bad? my problem is i have a cylinder pumping air into my coolant system. i removed the spark plug and watched tons of water pump/shoot out. assuming this is a gead gasket problem eventhough there is no water in my oil, and no white exhaust smoke, how would i go about fixing this?

can the gaskets be replaced with the motor in? where can i find a "HowTo" should i just swap the motor with a junkyard motor? could this not be a HG and juat a LIG? what parts will i need to fix this on a budget?

It's pretty straight forward and can be done in the vehicle. Search the threads there are some very good write-ups.

From your description you definitely have a bad head and head gasket.
Heads are expensive. If your motor is not knocking, I would replace the heads, head gasket and LIMG. You have to replace the LIMG when doing the heads anyway.

the vehicle has 150K+, but he bottom rnd is solid, it was a service vehicle, for mail delivery. so when i got it it still had the new car smell and was very well maintained. not mch has changed to it. so i think its worth fixing.100$ isnt bad. just need to know where to find them.

I have seen some partial threads on how to replace the headgaskets so you may want to continue searching the threads.

How about writing up a summary as you do your heads as it would be nice to have more information in one place?
