Exclamation A statement and a question

So the caprice is finally in the shop today. I can't wait to drive it home once its running right AND with my new flowmaster exhaust! Finally this car will make itself heard.

Aside from that, i have an important question. Today i was backing out of the driveway and i heard a truly alarming noise. It sounded like i ran over a piece of metal or something and it came from somewhere near the "left" rear of the car. I guess you could classify it as a clunking noise too but to me it sounded like something in the differential. The other day i pushed the emergency brake down as far as it would go because i had to take the rear wheels off. I noticed that the right tire would still spin though, but the left one didn't. Maybe its not adjusted right and the left rear brake was sticking? And i could feel the vibration through the brake so i dunno if that means anything.

Perhaps something is broken in that brake.

Re: A statement and a question

sounds like it may need some break attention. i lost a spring or the break shoe in my 88 LS and it would give me a loose metal clanging noise while in reverse. i thought it was my exhaust rubbing the drive shaft until i noticed a small puddle of break fluid behind the rear tire.
